MISSION STATEMENT

PASAGE Saint John Inc. provides support and referral for families and adolescents experiencing problems connected with substance abuse and addiction.  We provide information for parents, adolescents, and public education regarding the prevention of adolescent addiction.

PREVENTION

PASAGE Saint John Inc. offers a wealth of current information to adolescents and parents on topics ranging from drug and alcohol abuse to gambling. This information is an integral component in preventing addiction in adolescents as well as adults. Resources such as books, cassettes, pamphlets and videos related to drugs, gambling parenting and self-help are available to the public. PASAGE also hosts information tables at health fairs and community events, where prevention information is provided to the public.

EDUCATION

PASAGE Saint John Inc. provides public education for adolescents and parents regarding the prevention of adolescent addiction. Presentations offered by PASAGE are tailored to fit the audience, whether it is a classroom, youth community center, or a parent group. Youth focused presentations cover Peer Pressure Reversal Skills, Gambling Prevention and general information on the adverse effects of drug abuse. Parent presentation focus on how parents can talk to their children about drugs as well as a specialized program entitled Drug RAP (Resources that apply to Parents). PASAGE also provides workshops on various topics relating to drug and gambling abuse and addiction.

SUPPORT

It is part of PASAGE Saint John Inc`s mission to provide support and referral for families and adolescents experiencing problems connected with substances abuse and addiction. Parents and others are welcome to walk in to the office for support. Names are not requested. PASAGE is there to listen, to give information and to make referrals.
